Adios for a while

We are packing the computer tonight and since we have to find a new internet company I don't know when we'll be back online.
Tomorrow is Adeline's ballet recital! We've endured 3-5hrs of practice a day this week! She and I will go tomorrow at 4:30p and Daddy & Darton will join us for the performance at 7p. Adeline is eating it up that she gets to where a "princess dress" and perform for Daddy! She has been a real trooper.
Adeline's teacher putting on her make-up and glitter.Checking herself out like any good woman would do. ;)On her way to practice on stageI realized after hanging out with all Spanish speakers this week that I don't have any friends that I hang out with on a normal basis that have Spanish speaking children. It's been fun hearing Adeline communicate in Spanish. Waiting to perform. All the moms had to wait in the hallway during practice...do you know how smart it would have been for me to set up Happy Hour during these practices! Praise God, literally, for Ana who watched Darton at home during these practices. I was some good bonding time for Adeline and me.
The first truckload went to the new house today. Our pastor came and helped Ana & I for security reasons and I was very thankful. The guys come again tomorrow morning for the last load and then we have to squeeze in buying a refrigerator, washer, and dryer within the weekend. We have 2 of the 3 picked out at least.
We will probably decorate for Christmas before I arrange the new house. I sure doesn't feel like December when you don't have Christmas decor up.

Home Again, Home Again

We arrived with an uneventful traveling day on Tuesday late afternoon! Thank you for your prayers because the day couldn't have gone any smoother with a 3 and 1 1/2yr old.
I'm off to start packing boxes and hopefully by next Saturday night we will be out of this apartment.
Adeline has a ballet recital next Saturday night (the day we are planning to move...yuck) and we will be practicing all week for that. I'm talking 3-5 hours a day! It's craziness!
The car is now in it's 5th week at the mechanic and the word today was a part they need isn't in the country! I really couldn't imagine being here the whole month and dealing with the frustration of the slowness of Dominican business.

A needed update

November has flown by and our time in TX is coming to a close. Scott left today and the kids and I head out early Tuesday morning. Over the course of the month we have.....(in no particular order)

Raked & Played in the leaves at Great Gparents Aboul-ela's house. The now classic Darton faceThe classic pouty Adeline face. Enjoyed a week with Aunt Jenny and cousin Ella.
Visited Santa Clause. P.S. Adeline wants candy canes for Christmas (Who knew!)
Shopped enough for Scotty to threaten to give me a prepaid debit card for the next Dallas visit!Visited grandparents. This is my Dad's mom and my mom's parents. We also got to see both sets of Scott's grandparents. We are very fortunate to have so many!In Arkansas with Scott's paternal Gparents. Darton is named after this Grandmother. Watched Gdad coach a basketball game. When we first arrived it was hot enough to eat popscicles without shirts on!
We also got to have many meals with different family members. Our time here has been very good, but Adeline is asking to see Sarah and when she gets really homesick asks for Spanish music!
Once we get back we will begin moving into our new house and have until Dec 15th to do so. Please keep the arrangements of all of that in your prayers.

My mom made the beautiful stockings for the kids. It is all hand stitched with lots of sequins! Bravo and thanks Grandmommie! We will proudly display them over Christmas in our new home.

Lots of Pictures

My grandparents' farm
Most of my pictures of the kids on my walls are done professionally. I decided to give it a try at home this time and gathered some odds & ends around mom & dad's house to take pics of the kids. Swingset time"Cheeeeese!"

If you had to choose one picture of the two kids to make into an 8x10, which one would you choose?

Daddy wouldn't be so proud today...

The weather is beyond perfect right now in Dallas. Mom, the kids, my nephew Colten, and I went to the Heard Museum to enjoy an outside display of lifesize, moving, growling dinosaurs. As we headed down the wooded path Adeline stopped dead in her tracks when she heard the first dino. She spent the rest of the trail on Grandmommie's hip while I pushed the two boys. Darton refused to get out until we were out of site of the dinos as well. It was hilarious! Adeline's face in both pictures sums up how she felt...
